Daily Presidential Tracking Poll The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obamas job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove (see trends). The latest figures include 24% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 38% who Strongly Disapprove. President Obama in an effort to close the terrorist prison camp at the Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba recently has begun stepping up the release of inmates to their native countries. Voters are more critical of the health care they personally receive but still don’t expect it to get better under Obamacare. As Americans celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday today, they express a lot more pessimism about race relations than they did a year ago. Only eight percent (8%) of voters think race relations are better since Obama’s election in 2008, and unlike many questions dealing with race, blacks and whites don’t disagree much on this one.
