Daily Safety Message July 1, 2013 HOS Regulations – Are You Up To Speed? HOS violations not only damage your CSA score, they can threaten your livelihood – or even your life! Effective today, July 1, 2013, the Federal Government will start enforcing the new Hours of Service (HOS), so, always comply with these new duty provisions: HOS Changes: 34-Hour Restart- Must include two consecutive 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. off duty periods May be used only once in a seven day period. Rest Break- May drive only if eight hours or less have passed since last off duty period of at least 30 minutes.
