#DailyDevotion More To Follow There was once a pastor who had a small congregation that he dearly loved and cared for. The pastor was very poor but he did not let that affect his ministry and he was as committed as one can be. A large sum of money was given to a gentleman to dispense to the pastor. Thinking that the money was too much to send all at once, the man forwarded just a portion with a note that simply said “more to follow”. In a few weeks the pastor received another envelope containing the same sum of money with the same message “more to follow.” At regular intervals there came a third and a fourth. In fact this continued along until the whole sum had been received. God has good things in store for you and I. Right now you may be at the end of your rope with so much need and life seems so hard that you are about to give up. With every provision that comes for the day, there is always a note form God that says “more to follow.” The thing that I love about God is that He does not give us a blessing once but He spreads it out through our whole life span always with a note that says “more to follow.” . Ephesians 2:8-9 (New International Version) 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (New International Version) 9But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christs power may rest on me. When you work you expect to be paid your wages. That is not how grace works. Gods grace is to be given what you don’t deserve, getting paid while you have not put in any work. It is Gods Riches at Christ’s Expense. Christ paid the price for us, He did all the work, and Now God simply delivers if we connect with Him in faith. Are you in need of peace this morning? Read the note “more to follow.” Are you in need of provision?...... “More to follow.” Do you need Gods favor? …….“More to follow.” Do you need encouragement? ……“More to follow.” Do you need healing? …..“More to follow.” God is not done with you yet. There is still more in His account for you, there is more to follow tomorrow and the day after and the day after and so on. Be encouraged because His grace is sufficient. PRACTICAL APPLICATION There is more to follow, that should give you a reason and expectation to live this day to the full with joy in your heart. God’s account is still overflowing and there is something more coming your way tomorrow
