DailyDevtl - I talk a lot about needing to take our hurt to the Lord. Yet, there have also been seasons when the wounds were so deep that I couldnt make myself seek out His comfort. We are, after all, fragile human beings. Each of us is susceptible to grief, disappointment, or pain so crushing that we can’t bear to discuss it even in prayer. I’ve certainly stuffed my feelings at times only to have the pop out later when least expected. So, what do we do when we can’t open our hearts to the Lord? In my experience, He uses any means necessary to comfort His child. Programs on the radio, songs (a dear friend had an experience of the Lord using a secular band to draw her back), movies, books, etc. You could argue & say not all o those are Godly. True, but here’s the reality - EVERYTHING belongs to the Lord. Thus, He can use anything to accomplish His will. If you’re in a place of devastation, one where you can hardly make yourself get up in the morning & face the day, I pray for you to see, feel & recognize the unconditional & merciful love of your Abba Father. I guarantee He has noticed your suffering & cares more than you can possibly comprehend. Ps 139:9-10 NIV If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
