#DailyVictoryDevotional THURSDAY AUGUST 07 2014. TOPIC: BREAKING NEW GROUND GOLDEN SCRIPTURE: Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert - Isaiah 43:18-19 No matter what you have achieved in life, there is always something new to accomplish. Newness is the nature of believers and it forbids stagnation in all areas of life. Doing the same thing, the same way, year in year out is not the nature of a child of God. It is an error to be in a spot for too long, celebrating one old accomplishment. In our Golden Scripture, in New Living Translation, God recounted all the wonders of His works and said it should be forgotten, that it cannot be compared to what His about to do. Not even the wonders of dividing the red sea and drowning the armies of Egypt would be compared to it. This is the territory taking spirit and that spirit is in you. Stop waiting and start expanding into new grounds. Quit excuses and start taking new steps. Isaiah 54:2-3 gives you a command to spare no territory, enlarge your tent and break forth on the right and left. God gave this command knowing you have all it takes to make it happen. If you are stagnated and frustrated, it is not God’s fault. Today’s devotional is a wakeup call. Don’t let your past achievement or the religion that says it is vain or carnality to strive for new heights, stop you. How can the God who gives you the power to make wealth get offended to see you breaking new ground? That must be the god of religiousity and not the God of Christianity. Here is my charge, as you journey to new territories, do not trade your faith for anything. PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to disengage from any limiting believe. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR PLAN: Psalms 74 – 76, Romans 9: 16 – 33.
