Dallas Buyers Club: An argument can be made that Dallas Buyers Club is the best film of the year. Matthew McConaughey is very similar to Ben Affleck: his previous films were freaking horrible, yet his recent films and performances have been phenomenal. Here he gives an unrecognizable yet career best performance as Ron Woodroof, a man living with the HIV virus who helps himself along with other with the disease with medicine he smuggles from other countries. Jared Leto plays Rayon, a gay transvestite Woodroof meets at a hospital and becomes business partners by helping him selling medicine to individuals whos HIV+. I will be pissed if both McConaughey and Leto dont get nominated for Oscars. Also, give another Oscar nom to screenwriters Craig Borten and Melisa Wallack. Story is significant in how the HIV disease plague the 80s and early 90s, as well as the smart and witty dialog exchanges among the characters. I give it my highest recommendation for all of you to see this brilliant film!
