Dammit, I guess this means I have to give her back! Seriously though, looking at the comments on this post made me feel really, really sad. I love being a parent, it’s brought me immeasurable joy and indescribable gifts, and it drives me crazy to see people boil it down to this purely rational (dare I say soulless?) equation of KIDS = less money, less free time, and hence, more misery. It just doesn’t work that way. I’m a better person for having a child, and that makes me happy. Everything else is just trivial garbage in comparison. Doesn’t anybody else out there actually LIKE having kids? Let alone LOVE having kids?
