Dana Gioia An interesting lecture given by Dana Gioia, poet, essayist, critic, translator, arts activist. Always interesting to listen to on the subject of poetry and why it matters. He wrote a famous essay, `Can Poetry Matter` that I posted on Poetry Talk a while ago. In this lecture he makes some general points about the nature and importance of poetry before reading, and he is a brilliant reader of his own work, a dozen poems.
