Dani and I had a long day today. Shes had throat pain since Sunday. Strep test on Monday was negative, and Rx pain meds yesterday werent helping. She called me early this morning saying she needed to go to the Dr., so I went to her apt in Mounds View to pick her up, and we were back home by 7 am. At the Cambridge clinic at 9 for a Dr. appt, squeezed in to the ENTs full schedule, labs and a pre-op physical all done by 11:30. She didnt feel up to coming home, so she napped in the hospital chapel for a few hours until her surgery appointment at 3 to remove an abcess from her tonsil. Came out of surgery without tonsils, so will never have to deal with this again. Checked out at 7 pm. Many hours there today, but we had the greatest experience we could have had. Everyone we saw went above and beyond to make her as comfortable as possible, and to make sure she left feeling much better than when she checked in. When we got in the car Dani said, That was the best hospital staff experience ever. Thank you to everyone who helped us today :)
