Daniel Padilla is set to star once again in a teen series alongside Kathryn Bernardo titled Got to Believe. The young star talked about his new show with push.ph during the a photo shoot. “Got to Believe ‘yung title. Si Kathryn si Chichay. Tapos ako naman si Joaquin. Basta ako dito malayong malayo sa Princess and I. Malayo ‘to kay Gino. May comparison siguro pero hindi ‘yung Ginong-Gino. Misteryoso talaga si Joaquin,” he shared. Daniel relayed that Got to Believe is a romantic comedy series which he enjoys doing. “Rom-com, oo. Nakita mo naman ‘yung teaser namin di ba? Ganon na kaagad. Masarap magtrabaho pag rom-com. Good vibes!” Despite the fact that it’s a light soap, Daniel still considers his new role a challenging one. “Lahat naman ng role maliit o malaki challenging eh. Kasi ni-rorole mo, hindi naman ikaw eh. Nagpo-portray ka ng kung ano ‘yung role mo,” he said. The young actor revealed that though he wasn’t able to undergo a workshop because of his tight schedule, he believes that they can pull it altogether. “Gustohin man namin kaso wala na tayong oras, lahat tayo intense ang schedule natin ngayon eh. For sure naman si direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) aalalayan kami. At di naman kailangan ng huge preparation. Si Kathryn naman kasama mo eh tapos ‘yung istroya namin light lang,” he said. On his reaction to the box office director being part of his new soap, Daniel remarked, “Nakakatuwa siyempre kasi direk Cathy, legend yan eh. Ang dami ng pinalabas na blockbuster. At masarap din katrabaho ang director na napakagaling kasi marami kang matutunan.” Does he feel comfortable that he and Kathryn are being dubbed as the next John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo now that they’re under the wing of Direk Cathy? “Sina Sarah at John Lloyd, ganon na ‘yun eh, sila na ‘yun eh. Kumbaga tayo di pa natin masasabi. Tsaka na,” he said. Though there is pressure to top his former teleserye, Daniel is confident enough that he’s going to do well on this new soap. “Siyempre sino naman ang hindi kakabahan. Pero huwag na tayong kabahan, ilagay na lang natin sa gawa,” he said.
