Daniel de Rossi looks to be staying in Italy despite the Chelsea rumours The Daily Mirror might be going gaga over a possible move to Stamford Bridge for 30 year old Italian enforcer Daniele de Rossi, but the bookmakers don’t share their enthusiasm with Chelsea priced at odds of 2.50 by Skybet to land the veteran midfielder in comparison with 1.42 odds on offer for De Rossi staying on at his club AS Roma. De Rossi is widely tipped to take over the captain’s armband at Roma when the incumbent bearer Francesco Totti retires, and despite his troubled recent past, the midfielder is a Roman through and through and would find it very difficult to ditch his roots at this stage of his career.
