Daniels Mission Day 189: GOSPEL OF CULTURAL HERITAGE CENTRES - TopicsExpress

Daniels Mission Day 189: GOSPEL OF CULTURAL HERITAGE CENTRES Many traditional Korean-Canadian churches MIS-place their emphasis on revival in numbers. It is totally unwarranted historically and biblically. It is not conversion of non-Christians or immigrant Christians to suddenly pour into the ethnic churches that we should be concerned about, but the concern of how we show love, faith, and hope to people around us. The Great Awakening in America did NOT happen because the church leaders wanted more people to be part of the Christian churches, but because people wanted and needed a renewed lifestyle away from corrupted lifestyle. How did the preachers at that time delivered Gods message to them? Did they speak softly and persuaded them by appealing to their heart with good and kind examples? Nope. They spoke very harsh to them and spoke to them about radical ways of renewed lifestyle. Preachers like Jonathan Edwards basically TARGETTED lifestyles that were very very corrupt and quite prevalent. And yet, we want greater number of people to join our churches? Not a chance. Nothing like that ever happens unless you preach the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST, which is meant to set people free and serve one another, rather than the GOSPEL OF KOREAN/ASIAN COMMUNITY CENTRES, which is meant to gather more ethnic people. This gospel of community centres happens even though it is not being preached because in GTA area (as well as S. Korea, I was told by a professor of JangshinDae) big ethnic churches get bigger and bigger, and small to medium ethnic churches are closing more and more. This is happening naturally because the gospel of community centres are based on capitalism, in which our economy is well-entrenched. All Christians ought to preach and think of ways to serve other ethnic groups and disadvantaged people shackled to social ills and evils, rather than preaching the gospel of community centres and shackle them there.
