Danish Palace Faberge Egg, 1890 Alexander III gave this to his beloved wife, Minnie, as a surprise because apparently she was a bit homesick for Denmark. “The egg opens to reveal a folding ten-panel screen, depicting palaces and residences in Russia and Minnies country of birth, Denmark. It was sold (not by the owners) to a private American collector and is now apparently in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
