Darleen and I are back home from a great visit to the Republic of Korea. It was an honor to spend time with a good friend and very strong leader, my counterpart, Adm. Hwang, Ki-chul and his wife - they were exceptional hosts. Our two Navies share a long history together which has been strengthened over decades - we are stedfast Allies and our ability to work together has been our advantage in every challenge. Also attended an All Hands Call yesterday with our Korea-based Sailors, Civilians, and their families and spoke at ROKs war college to students and leadership. I am extremely proud of their dedication to strengthen the U.S.-Republic of Korea Alliance and I look forward to watching the collective capabilities between our Navies grow.
