Date: 23rd June, 2014 Fortress Check at Kacheguda Railway Station against Ticketless/Irregular Travel Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted a fortress check against ticketless and irregular travel at Kacheguda station on 20th June, 2014. The Check was conducted under the direct supervision of Divisional Commercial Manager and Assistant Commercial Manager, Hyderabad Division, SCR. 47 Ticket checking staff along with 08 Railway Protection Force personnel carried out the drive and checked the tickets of each passenger. During the fortress check, all the exit points at Kacheguda Railway station were plugged to prevent ticketless travellers escaping from the fortress check. 10 Express trains, 19 Passenger trains and 62 MMTS and Local trains were checked. A total of 468 cases, comprising of 290 cases travelling without ticket, 32 cases of travelling irregularly and 146 cases of un-booked luggage were apprehended. An amount of Rs. 1, 40,540/- was realised towards penalty from these persons.
