David Agaba, the Sironko district Police Commander, has ordered for the arrest of parents who attempt to hide their children during the ongoing Polio immunization program. Ministry of Health officials started a door-to-door immunization exercise against polio on Saturday. The three -day country wide exercise targeting all children below the age of five is supported by the World Health Organisation and it ends tomorrow. Rukia Nkamate, the Ministry of Health Public Relations Officer says polio is still a killer disease and can only be prevented through immunization. But David Agaba,the Sironko DPC asserts that Many parents in Sironko districts have always under looked national programs especially immunization claiming that it generates diseases that end up killing their innocent children. Agaba has now vowed to arrest such parents. ANY COMMENT?
