David Gray has consistently been a voice of reason, respect and ethical behavior on this BoCC. Hes been a lonely voice up there. Constantly voted down by the Gang of Four. Publicly ridiculed by Blaine again and again, in Blaines childish ways. Hes done himself proud, and has been an outstanding public servant. I couldnt agree more with this point: First job is to repair the Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance (APFO). This was weakened drastically in 2012 by the majority of the present commissioners. This ordinance, before being weakened, did not allow developments to proceed until schools and roads were adequate. I believe, in addition to schools and roads, public safety facilities should also be tested for adequacy. The majority of the present commissioners have already scheduled eight more developments, in addition to the Monrovia Town Center, to be approved this year without having to pass the strong adequacy tests. This will leave a huge drain on the county’s budget for schools, roads and public safety facilities.
