David John Beggan has given me the number 8. If you like this post, Ill give you a number and you can consider doing the same thing. Here are 8 things you may not know about me. 1. When Mother was pregnant with me, she was sick the full 9 months. She never kept a meal down. Yet, when I was born I was still fat. 2. The doctor told my mother that my head was sooo large, surely I would be very intelligent. So, as soon as I could put a sentence together, she started teaching me Bible verses. When I was 3 years old, I quoted the entire Christmas story from Luke chapter 2, at Daddys union hall. 3. When I was 6 years old, they took my tonsils out, I woke up coughing blood like the girl from Exorcist, I had an out of body experience. I saw Jesus. Ask me about it some time. 4. My parents had been so strict on me that when they sent me off to a Christian college, I cut loose. I could not stand the fact that the girls were locked in the dorm at night while the guys were allowed to run the streets. We found a window that did not have a fire alarm. We snuck down the fire escape. We only went to eat and came back. It was just the principle of the thing. 5. Spring break of Freshman year, the choir I was in went on tour through Ohio. This was the first time this Southern girl had ever been up north. I packed summer dresses and sandals. They still had snow on the ground. 6. I graduated from high school as co-valedictorian. Not such a major feat when you consider that there were only 36 people in my graduating class. 7. My junior year of high school, my term paper in English Comp was on Edgar Allan Poe. My teacher refused to give me an A, no matter what I did. I took that same paper to college and got an A. Go figure! 8. I didnt do a lot of funny things. One thing I am proud of is going to China and adopting our daughter.
