David Writebol and his wife Nancy are missionaries in Liberia, called by God to work in Liberia last year. What they didn’t expect was that they have to deal with Ebola outbreak. Nancy contracted Ebola while working as aid-worker with Ebola patients. Last week Nancy was moved to an isolation ward in US. Before leaving Liberia, Nancy received a second dose of an experimental serum, called ZMapp. David Writebol, who remains in Liberia, hits out at people who are critical of the couple for putting themselves in danger. ‘Its just astonishing to see the reaction of people, and I think it exposes the underlying philosophy and worldview of the age where ...an individual is really of no account and when someone goes to extraordinary lengths and measures to minister to and perhaps help an individual then thats looked down upon,’ he said. Nancy, although still seriously ill, she is able to walk with assistance and has regained her appetite.
