Day 14: Today I am thankful for Dr. Webber and the surgical team at Laser Spine Institute. The surgery worked! Unfortunately my back is an injury of which included a torn ligament which stabilizes the spine so if I dont follow the doctors orders to strengthen my core muscles and weight train the other muscles of my body I may end up back here to have the two vertebrae fused because of the tear to the ligaments and tendons, but if that happens in 5-10+ years, I will come back here for it. They do the same type of endoscopic surgery for fusing with the same immediate results. So, pray for my committing to Pilates and a trainer! I could go on for another hour about all the wonderful experiences of today, but again, Ill save that for later and my testimonial thank you letter to the hospital that i will post after I get home. The technical term of the procedures I had were a Laminotomy with Decompression of the Nerve Root and Lateral Extraforaminal Decompression of the disc. I do not have the word to describe how great I feel! The pain is gone! And the smile is back on my face!
