Day +175 post BMT. It has been a busy few days and so a few things to catch up on. Monday the intervention team with some ultrasound guidance manged to pull Damiens Hickman out. This is fantastic for 99% of the last 12 months he has had one type of line or another. Lovely that he can have a shower and be free of it getting in the way. It does mean normal needle blood tests and that means some impressive bruises. Good news on blood tests remaining stable. A year ago tomorrow had just moved into the Leukaemia Village and tomorrow we take the first load of things home and get the house ready. Mr 2yo was in a cot when we left so it will be exciting to set him up in a bed, in his own room for the first time. Lots more packing and moving things over the weekend. With all the kids and knowing we would be here a long time we took lots of comfort from home. Pretty much all my kitchen appliances LOL, Damiens recliner (thanks Mal), Tobys desk and lots of the kids things. The kids got to tag along to day oncology today. Amazingly the first time. They agree it is super boring LOL. Thanks to my friends and Toby for looking after them when they didnt have day care and saving them the experience. Day onc can be a scary place for a kid with so many very sick people. Exciting times ahead well apart from all the work to move back home! Updates next week!
