Day 2: Spent a lot of time getting to know his new home. He knows no commands which makes it feel like we have adopted a toddler from China who knows no English. He does seem to recognize his name, but not what to do when someone says it. Which totally explains why he didnt run to those calling for him in the woods during his adventure. We have started working with him on some commands... especially those that would prove helpful should he ever escape again. Like Come and Lets go. Things like sit will just have to wait. Kids are working on Shake and with the Pyr Paw, thats an easy one to practice. He is totally food motivated. Which is good considering how much weight he needs to put on. He seems to not know what to do with stairs. Didnt know how to go up or down. He also made it eventually up to the halfway landing and then laid down and tried to sleep. He had to be lifted and bribed with pot roast.
