Day 2 contd: We went to CAD (orphanage) to spend the day. I played ball with a young boy named Justlin (12 years old) who took me to the playground area and asked me to pray with him. While there, another boy named Jameson (13 years old) began to talk to me (using French and Creole) he told me his mother and father were both dead and that they had died in the earthquake and he had no where else to go. Its one thing to hear about it from someone else or see it on TV; but to look in his eyes and hear it from him affected me deeply, and just wrecked me emotionally. I was thinking it was good that I had sunglasses on so they wouldnt see me cry... Another little boy (we called Snyder) looked so sad and was trying to hide wouldnt talk to me at first. I had to go through Jameson to get anything out of him. He didnt know how old he was. Mikael came by and asked to take a picture and when she showed it to him, I saw him smile for the first time; which became the first of many. After that, every time I spoke to him I saw him smile. ..
