Day 2 of the 7-day thankfulness/positivity challenge that I was challenged to... 1) My job at NWC. I thoroughly love it. I almost feel guilty for getting paid some days. NWC and what it stands for goes hand-in-hand with this thankfulness. 2) My supervisor Tom Truesdell), my office neighbor/colleague John Menning), my other department colleague (Rahn Franklin Jr.) and my many awesome interdepartmental colleagues (especially from the biology, chemistry, physics, and math departments with whom I work the most). Of course, I value all NWC employees! 3) The students at NWC which make my point #1 above. It is also humbling to know that students actually want your advice and help on issues that are not necessarily related to science problem sets. Okay, its even more humbling and flabbergasting to know that they still want to meet up with me when they are around OC after they graduate...
