Day 21 of #100DaysOfHappiness cant have a list of things that make me happy without my parents! Im here because of them & I am me because of them. They taught me to be honest, fair, authentic, responsible, respectful, to respect myself & others. They taught me to have values & live my life by those values without compromising them. They taught me to walk the walk & not just talk the talk. I learned how to be a friend by seeing their relationships with their friends, who were all like family to us. We grew up calling their friends aunts & uncles. I know that I can call them to talk & vent & share. Even when they may not get what Im talking about, they know if it makes me happy or not & they are there if I need them. I hope Ive never disappointed them or didnt live up to their expectations. Ive tried to go out into the world, be honest, be helpful, be caring, be a friend, and be responsible. Ive always been true to me & I try to always walk the walk. I may not always be the popular one but Im always the one others can count on. I hope Ive done them proud. I love them for allowing me to be here, for allowing me to be me, and for being there for me! I love them for being exactly who they are!
