Day 24. One of my first jobs was as a check-out chick at Coles. My inner OCD lurrrved packing bags correctly; and being asked to face up was like winning lotto every single shift! I had the task of making all the jars of baby food look full, and tidy. Some days it was the soup aisle, cereal, coffee..whatever! At 15 I could NEVER understand how random items appeared on a shelf nowhere near their shelf of origin...until I had the twins. Today, I became that person. As twin 1 started blaming me for the fact that hell now get wet because I wont buy him his own umbrella, while twin 2 was walking around with the invisible fairies again, I snapped. I placed everything I had in my hands on a random shelf, and walked out of Spotlight - composed, silent, and seething on the inside. At that moment I understood how a litre of milk and a packet of pantyhose ends up next to a jar of Heinz apple purée. Ill try again Saturday. #365realdays
