Day 3 of 5 done.... Over half way. I know Im biased, but Im pretty impressed with both of my girls. Mika is incredible with her sister. She loves her so much and is so very sweet. She gets to do fun things at the Ronald every day and she never rubs it in Maes face. She wants to come to the hospital to be with her and it just warms my heart. Today was fairly comparable to yesterday which is great. She pushed through the pain like never before. She just laid with me and did breathing that a 2 year kid should never have to learn. It was purely her learning how to cope with this kind of pain. I was so proud and heartbroken at the same time. She then spoke for the first time during the pain and in a very broken whisper she asked for her Bubbe. It was a profound moment for both of us. She held her hand and was ok. She also calms with me singing to her. I sing songs she loved before her diagnosis and I think it gives her some sort of comfort. She still had discomfort through the evening and had to give her more pain meds. I was able to spend some time with some amazing women that I have met through this horrible situation. They came and hung out in my room. Im so grateful for them. There are not many people that truly understand what you are going through and even though I couldnt be more anxious to be home, Im going to miss these women and there beautiful children. We have become family in every sense of the word. Im tearing up just thinking about them and not seeing them every day. 2 more days of 3f8, 2 days off, marrow aspirations on Monday, and home on Wednesday.... We can do it, we can do it, we can do it... Thank you so very much for all your kind words. They mean the world to us.
