Day 4 B&W Challenge. Thank you to Becky Lee Sapp for nominating me. Gordon and I were on vacation in St. Barths last year. We went to dinner at this romantic restaurant and seated across from us in an alcove was a large family, I think they were Italian, but maybe French, I cant remember. They spoke a different language. They had a lot of love for each other and all ages were at the table, from a baby and little kids, to teens and parents and grandparents. My husband sent the whole table champagne. He told the waiter, Just tell them its because seeing their family so happy made me happy. This resulted in the mothers and fathers of the children coming right over to hug and kiss us as europeans sometimes do. We were invited over to the table to meet everyone. It was the grandmothers birthday and she was very modest, but proud of her family. They were all vacationing together and having the best time. I like to think it gave us a little glimmer into the future. I nominate Kate Crowley Parker to post one B&W daily for the next 5 days and to nominate another photographer each day as well.
