Day 4: Thankful for parents who love us and took good care of us growing up. My daddy always worked hard to provide, working a full time job then coming home in the afternoon to start working on the farm until late at night. Mama sacrificed a lot to be a stay at home mom and take care of us... she cooked 3 meals a day, did all the housework, helped with homework, served as grade mother numerous times and stayed in the road running us everywhere we had to go, then later being the driver for her mama and step daddy to all their appointments and helping take care of her mom who was bedridden for more than 10 years. We were blessed to be raised by them. It breaks my heart to watch them grow older and experience some of the health issues that come with aging, but so grateful for every day that I get to see them, talk to them, and take the grandbabies to spend time with them. You can see them light up when those boys walk in, and it seems to make their hurts and worries fade away while they are visiting them. Thankful for the example they set for us and for all they have done and continue to do for their children and grandchildren. We are truly blessed!
