Day 4 of 5: Crystal is 80 percent done with her first round of chemo! She has her last round tomorrow evening and then gets discharged from the hospital on Sunday. After she recovers for a few weeks, Crystal will undergo a second round of chemo. If the doctors find a bone marrow match soon, the transplant will follow. The doctors are still testing Crystals blood, so we dont know if a match is out there yet. Siblings are often the best donors, but only 30 percent of siblings are a match. Say a prayer that were a match. Some are asking about sending gifts to Crystal. As she undergoes treatments, she cant be around fresh flowers and scented items. She also cant eat raw fruits or vegetables.
