Day 4 of the Gratitude Challenge! Today I am grateful for Family! 1.) My Family of origin...atypical. My parents had 7 marriages between the two of them. I have nine Reniker siblings and yet only one brother and I share the same two parents! I lived at more addresses than I can recall. I am grateful for this experience, it fuels me to make decisions very carefully. I am grateful for the difficult times now despite the pain felt then. 2.) I am grateful for my husband and sons. New Jersey marries Texas. It has gone as smoothly as it sounds! After a lifetime of seeing the back of men as the walk away, I am grateful for one who stayed. My sons are very independent, focused, interesting people. It has been a true privilege to be their mother. They would say that the privilege has been all mine! 3.) Ancestors...I am grateful for the sacrifice of my Forefathers. As I learn of the challenges and sacrifices they made, I realize the freedom and opportunities that I enjoy, came at a great cost. I feel that through their struggle and hard work to provide a better life for their family, I have an obligation to further the cause by pursuing my dreams and supporting the dreams of others.
