Day 4 of the challenge set by Matt Welch. I probably listen to more unsigned music than signed these days, its amazing what slips through the net and what crap is shoved down our throats by the media. Over the past 30 odd years Ive seen an untold number of unsigned acts and have got to know so many talented people, that I feel priviliged to have met. With this in mind it was always going to be difficult to pick an unsigned act to represent how much these unsung heroes mean to me. I think that we should all support our local live scene and show these artists, most of whom are out of pocket at the end of the night after paying their expenses, how much they are appreciated. There is no way Im going to mention names as it would take me three days to note them all and Id still manage to miss somone off and drop myself in it. The same reason has led me to choose this track, as well as it being a tremendous song, the band broke up many years ago, and it still sounds as fresh to me as it did 20 years ago when it was recorded.
