Day 46 Thank you Julie Castrodale Miller for the fresh reading material, music and hugs! Thanks for the cookies Laurie! Jenna Robertson- he is rocking the hat. Thank you for such a sweet surprise. Meagan Kimball- the alfagto, mags, kid pick up and shoulder rubs were appreciated! Bob is in the home stretch and will discharged after his spinal chemo in the morning. His side effects with the new chemo have been minimal but we know his best days are always in the hospital because of the steroids. He has been getting such high doses of IV fluids to help his body flush the toxic medicine, he is up 10lbs in water weight since Friday. Pretty puffy. It was a rough emotional morning on the home front. The kids really miss their Dad. He is a complete hands on father and it breaks my heart he is spending such precious days stuck in the hospital and often feels poorly when he is home. Our babies dont deserve this. Bob doesnt deserve this. I dont deserve this. And yet...we are doing this, hour by hour, day by day.... And its working. Remission baby! Tonight hug the ones youre with and in the morning do it again. Never pass up an opportunity to show your tribe how much they mean to you. And # teambetts, you mean the world to us. ❤
