Day 5 - Week 4 - Thursday, July 24 - 2:45pm Todays appointment was to remove the staples from by incision. Sara Butcher Hook drove me to OKC (last night) where we stayed at my parents house overnight. The surgeon did not remove the staples. He is concerned I have ripped some of the internal stitches loose with my coughing. We have rescheduled a visit back to his office on August 5. I really enjoyed seeing my parents, and even having a bit for breakfast together, but theres nothing quite like sleeping in your own bed - and Ive been away from my own bed too much lately. I slept most of the way home today. Of course it was the hardest time of day for Sara to drive too. Please pray for Sara. She didnt signup for this non-sense. But she is right there through thick and thin.
