Day 5 I am grateful for all of the modern day advances that make our world a smaller, more manageable place. I am grateful for cell phones. I remember back in the day saying something like, I dont want a car phone (thats what we called them), what do I need one for? I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that a cell phone would be my main connection to my children, grandchildren, family! I can hear their voices anytime, anyplace! That is incredible, really. I am grateful for FaceTime, cell phone pictures, videos, and texting, ways that I can further connect and stay close. I can instantly see glimpses of their days. Only a few short years ago that was impossible. I can watch a video over and over again, to warm my heart whenever I need it! I am grateful for airplanes. I hate the outrageous prices, the deplorable lack of service, the security limitations, but I love how in just a few hours, an airplane can bring us to them and them to us.
