Day 5 after the hospital. Im still at that motel by the airport calling around for a good place for me to stay. Waiting for some call backs. Meanwhile I had a good talk with Mary, the social worker who I met in the hospital. She followed up with me to see how I was doing. She was amazed how well and how quick I am adapting to being disabled, I figured out how to get in regular cars and taxis on my own. Once I learned how to collapse my wheel chair (thanks Chuck!) I just tell cabbies how to put it in their trunk once I get in their cab, Plus I have gotten good at doing various things without being shown how. She also told me some things Ill need which I figured out but she told me where to get them. A cup holder for my wheel chair which they sell at Walgreens. A carry bag for the back of my wheel chair which she is going to try to bring me. Little things which will be a huge help. Anyway, onward!
