Day 5. gratitude finale (it is long, I apologise!) 1. This is the story of my exercising life: set out for a walk, a good healthy power walk.. oh dear I am distracted; a star gazing dawdling hippy..the air feels different at dusk, softer, denser...smells of the desert, of the sea. This ocean so still, intense orange to blue to darkness afterglow...wandering through the sand tracks beneath stars and a half moon. Ever grateful for this place. 2. I suffered intense, debilitating brain throbbing hazy eyed headaches for over a year and a half..tried so many practitioners for diagnosis and treatment..robot functioning on nurofen, just surviving my boat days working without a glimpse of personality or relief. I am ETERNALLY grateful to an amazing physio in perth, one very holistic chiro and a few incredible massage therapists. Chronic pain takes away your spark, your true laughter..when you get it back you cant imagine how you existed without. So thank you to those who healed me and continue to keep me running. 3. I am ever grateful to my wonderful best friend. He works 14hr shifts for 4 weeks straight, away from home so we can buy our own place one day. He posts flannel sheets and hot water bottles so I wont be cold. He makes me laugh round the clock, even when Im angry. (hes the one that made me angry, damn it!) He looks at me like Im some magical creature, when I feel like a monster. He takes me for sand dune sunset dinners and storm chasing, swag sleepovers with million dollar views. He takes the piss out of me every day. He hates me wearing make up. He cooks crayfish just how I like it (smoky and charred, perfect on the inside) and there is a new hilarious idiot song every day. He will be home in 2 sleeps!
