Day 6 City of Angels critical care unit. Team Miles had another - TopicsExpress

Day 6 City of Angels critical care unit. Team Miles had another day on the roller coaster. The only thing I want to hear at this point is, Hes going home today. But, that was not the news. He is still fighting this war inside his body and he is not showing any sign of giving up, so neither is the team. We have become a fixture in the waiting room and have seen so many people come and go in the last week. Miles is ready to leave the place; he tugs at the leash toward the parking lot every time we take him out for a little walk. He wants to play with the other dogs that come and go, but I cant let him and thats what breaks my heart. As I go to sleep tonight for a few hours, I see him in my minds eye and I try to focus the healing power of the universe on the broken parts inside him. This dog has taught me more about myself in our brief time together then all the books I have ever read. Miles Davis is still fighting on and so am I. Thank you to Tom Lemons for running over today to have some lunch. Thank you Chrissy Cassidy and Lew Robertson for watching Harvey and for giving me a place to take a little sanity break today. I had many calls, texts, posts and emails from so many of you. All of it is a huge help. This is an endurance care event and you all help me stay strong for Miles. More prayer is needed tomorrow please. Many challanges still face us on this road.
