Day 6 FORMULA ONE - FORMULA TWO These classes follow on from the last few year where we ran a Formula One class for older 1000cc bikes, a very successful and lower budget way to race some very nice but value for money motorcycles. The addition of a Formula Two class for the 600cc models is, we think, a great step into mid range affordable racing. Formula One machines will be pre 2008 4 cylinder bikes of over 850cc so Suzuki GSXR1000 up to K6 and Yamaha R1 to 2007 are eligible etc. You can probably pick a great trackday or ex race bike up for under £4000 and race it competitively now and not have to compete with £15,000 BMW or ZX10s Formula Two machines will be pre 2007 bikes like the Honda CBR600RR to 2006 or a Yamaha R6 to 2005 etc. Again these are highly competitive machines in their own right and will still give the modern bikes a run for their money in the right conditions. These classes run on the same grid as modern bikes but with their own Championship and awards and I cant wait to see what rocks up at our first round.
