Day 6. The sun returned, in parts and the rain subsided. Wildlife update: the three lovely flamingos have become four and are joined by some geese and some fisherman-wadey things with long thin legs. Delighted to see our old friend Pele the Pelican back each day around five for his tea. He is very tame, and on our beach walk he was at the waters edge just chillin I got within a few inches of him, chatted to him, he didnt bat an eyelid. Sadly I think hes getting a bit old and tired now. The large white cockerel Alex Reedyboi..remember him?) has long gone but the hens and chicks survive). Dear reader, am missing Brian and Didi loads.. but have adopted Gordon the Gecko who lives behind cupboards in our room. Am anxious to put him outside as I fear for his longevity in the fridge wiring. Scarcely a replacement is it? to quote John Cleese. Ah well, back to the rum and coke....
