Day 7 “A Fresh Encounter with God” Luke 4:1-19 A time of fasting and prayer for 40 days is not going to be tip-toeing through the tulips, but will be worth it in the end. We are called to be set apart – to come away from everyone and everything to seek God. Yes, we are doing this fast corporately, but you can go the extra mile, and really give up the comforts of this life for the sake of others that are lost in the valley of decision. Numbers 16:48, we stand between the dead and the living, and are called to stop the plague of sin and death in these last days. In this process, you will be tempted to get off the potters’ wheel, and not have to go through the fire. But it is in the fire that you will be sharpened and get your cutting edge back. We will become like Jesus, victorious and have power to overcome as He did in Luke 4:14. He tells us in Luke 4:18-19 that His Spirit will be upon us and His anointing. This encounter is for us to preach, heal, proclaim, and to set at liberty those that are oppressed. We are standing in the gap for revival, and an outpouring of God’s Spirit upon our cities, to see the harvest of souls won to Christ throughout the rest of this year!
