Day 75 Amazing what a new week can bring to you. I accomplished more than I thought I would today. The biggest accomplishment was a ride out to Wellington to deal with Kims credit union. They were sweet enough to accept the addendum to the power of attorney even though it had Dollar Bank on it. So now Im set with them. This is something I never could have accomplished if I was working. Then I stopped and saw Kim. I spoke with the head of therapy to figure out what game plan was going to be worked on since Kim is limited to only 60 units of therapy a year. I really dont want Kim to lose everything she has gained. Im saying full speed ahead and when we run out, we run out and well deal with it then. They totally were in agreement as that was their game plan. She explained to me that although it will be a shorter time period Kim will actually be getting more therapy per day. Instead of dividing up the therapy hour between the 3 therapies (OT, PT, Speech) since each part counts as a unit they each get the full hour time slot. Cha Ching. We got to talking about Kims next move and I told her I thought the next step might be assisted living. She said that would be a great choice. And Kim wont need as much assistance as I guess Im thinking. She pretty much dresses herself everyday. And she certainly tools around in the wheelchair by herself now. Still working on becoming more comfortable with the quad cane. Was a good conversation and I feel much better now. God knows I have little to no patience but I do totally rely on His lead. Ive learned how to wait until He says time is right. It really is a beautiful feeling although very scary at times. But just knowing He isnt going to give me more than I can handle is heaven. I left Kim and the therapist playing blackjack! I had to go to Houstons school conference today. Got to speak to all his teachers to see how he is doing. They all said he is a good kid and they love having him in class. Now about these missing homework assignments....seriously Houston....those are FREE points you are just giving away. There will be some further discussion on this matter. :) All in all a good afternoon. Thank you all for your prayers. Enjoy your week and dont work too hard.
