Day 8 – Thaddeus in ICU Thaddeus had a fever starting yesterday - TopicsExpress

Day 8 – Thaddeus in ICU Thaddeus had a fever starting yesterday afternoon. The fever is controlled this morning. The suggestion is that he may have bacteria in the lungs. This is common for smokers and being on a ventilator for 7 days. He has a new shaved hairstyle, which I am sure he will love. It is funny how my boys look more alike without hair. Dr. Wheeler, who is on call this weekend, spoke with Asa. The fever is a natural process of the brain injury. There was a major plan of attack to control it throughout the night. Thaddeus responds visibly on his right side. These are positive. The left side movements will develop with time. According to the doctor he is making some intelligent responses to us but may not remember these when he wakes up. He was referring to Thaddeus responding to the West African French conversation and singing. I am completely exhausted. Today I had to take some time away from the hospital to recover. Please pray for our continued strength. We have great friends who have offered a place to stay. The challenge is moving any further away from the hospital before Thaddeus opens his eyes. We appreciate the UK Med Center staff and facility. We rest in the fact that God is working all things together for our good. It is the power of God that will bring Thaddeus from the trials he is facing right now. We want to express many thanks to our precious sister Jo Lee Credle Robinson and others who are posting great stories of faith in Thaddeus’ life. I will repost these as I see them. Thaddeus used to sing, “In my life Lord be glorified, be glorified”…today the Lord is glorified. We walk forward in God’s grace. Lydia and Asa
