Day 9 & 10 - Antelope Canyon & Monument Valley. Explored the twisted corridors of Antelope Slot Canyon, very beautiful, then hit the highway for Monument Valley in the Navajo Nation. Stayed at Gouldings Lodge, John Waynes old haunt/John Fords old backdrop to his westerns...up early with the sunrise for a horseback ride through the sacred monuments (youda been proud of me mum) with Lawrence our Navajo guide/cowboy..desert sage smellt amazing..then later a sunset tour into the heart of the monuments. Sad to leave today but Grand Canyon beckoned. Here now, very stiff from the ride, and about to hobble round the rim...
