Day Fourteen: The Robert Jackson approach to fatherhood You told me when we were dating that you wanted to have kids. My initial reaction was not what you expected. We didnt discuss it much after that either. As I got to know you and began to love you, I wanted to make babies with you because I know you would be really good at it. Your reaction to our loss showed me that having a baby meant so much to you. Though it was one of the worst times in my life, it opened communication between us that showed me that our babies would never have to worry about whether their daddy loved them and would be there for them. I have watched you do incredible things as a Daddy. Things that you may not even realize you do. Things like waking up with them, talking to them, sharing stories and laughs, holding their hands, running to respond to screams over thunder, reading times, helping them make decisions, being a confidante-I could go on about you as a father until Day 25. You will never know how cleansing it is for me to watch your father/daughter connections. I remember everything youve ever told me about your daddy and I am so proud to be the woman who helped you build those memories with your babies. They will share those same types of stories one day about a daddy who was always there, who always listened, always supported, and always loved-even if they were wrong. I see it in your eyes when you look at them and they feel it, there is no place you would rather be. That is the Daddy you are and it makes me love you more each day. #july25matters
