Day Twenty-five Oman, Arabian Peninsula The government of Oman has been offering subsidy for fuel for vehicles and cooking gas. The subsidies are meant to target certain groups. The desire is that the cash spent on subsidies will be utilized in other areas like youth training or investment projects capable of generating new employment opportunities. Pray for the poor of Oman to have their needs met and protected. Pray for the government to have wisdom in the way they use subsidies to strengthen the country. Pray for greater freedom to share the Lord Jesus Christ with all people in Oman (The Bible, Galatians 5:1). Kazakhstan, Central Asia Parliament will soon vote on new laws designed to eliminate “extremist activity.” The proposed legislation could penalize Christian Believers for practicing their faith. The punishments for practicing Christianity could include community service, time in “corrective” labor, and imprisonment. Pray for parliament to veto the new laws. Ask the Lord to encourage and protect the Kazakh Church. Pray for the Gospel to spread in Kazakhstan (The Bible, John 14:27).
