Day number 3: (finally I get the chance to post today). In continuing to support the mission of world peace and healing by wearing white attire, early today I had the need of actually going out there and doing something for somebody, just didnt know what exactly. When I opened my garage door, I remembered I had a sleeping bag (completely new and unused) that Ive been meaning to give away for a while. Instead of giving it to a friend or someone I know will probably use it for camping, I decided to go out and find a homeless person to give it to. Here in the state of California, theres an outrageous number of homeless people. In Los Angeles alone, the numbers are over 6,000. I drove around for about 30 minutes trying to find the one homeless person I felt would need it the most. Sadly said, one too many seemed like they needed it and I only had one to give. So I drove around until I saw this one guy unsuccessfully trying to find comfort by tossing and turning in an attempt to stay warm (its been raining hard these days and the weather is very chilly). I observed him from afar for about 15 minutes before I decided to get off my car and approach him. I said, hello, hows your day going today? He responded, Very cold. Im still wet from the rain and Im catching a cold, to which I said, Im sorry to hear that, but I hope this can make you feel a little bit better, at which point he looked up and said, you must be a mind reader. I was just telling myself I need to find a way to get one of these. I cant believe this. I felt my heart pounding out of joy and saddened by his condition. He kept saying, Wow, God is good. God is good! I stayed chatting with him for about 15 minutes. His name is Eric and has been homeless for about 7 years. I wish I had had 100 more sleeping bags to give out to the few that came out of no where asking me if I had any more. I felt so bad. My friends, I believe this is one of the many purposes of the World Peace and Healing project Miguel Ramos has put together. As I said yesterday, lets do more than just wear the white clothing. Lets do things that make a difference. There are many ways to promote peace and healing. I chose my way today. Will you do the same?! God bless you all.
