Daylight Savings Time has the critters at the compound feeling some type of way; normally I flip on the lights in the barn and they all start meandering back to their pens which is around 7 every evening.... tonight they looked at me like mama we know you have been feeling bad but its still light outside and we want to play ~ since I am not at gathering and making them do what they need to do right now with the cracked rib recouperation still going on and since Mike is still out in the field for another week they got to stay out late ~ acting like teenagers and violating curfew! But Lord have Mercy when I heal up or Mike gets home ~ home training will be reinforced! If anyone is in the area tomorrow and can help me mix some feed you will be my best friend because 50lb sacks of feed are not my friend right now and the guys at the ranch are being run ragged hauling loads that bring home the bacon so I cant divert them right now or at least that is what my lil brother says! So humorous facts of things you take for granted when your ribs are healthy: ~dragging hoses to fill toughs ~turning your head while driving ~bending over to tie your shoes or pull on your boots ~putting on a seat belt ~mixing feed ~unloading feed ~scooping out feed ~opening and closing gates ~pushing a grocery cart ~putting on your clothes ~moving round bales ~putting the ring on the round bale ~combing your hair (hats have been my friend) ~opening and closing your back door (mine happens to stick) ~ oh and least I forget breathing In spite of it all ~ I am still ever faithful, always blessed and eternally thankful!
