De Grey outlines work programme for Puhipuhi leases 21 June 2013 De Grey Mining Ltd (ASX: DEG) has detailed to the Australian Securities Exchange the work programme it intends to undertake on its expanded permits in the Puhipuhi area of Northland. De Grey was one of three companies successful in gaining the first-release of mineral exploration permits in Northland and it has two new permits to add to its existing Puhipuhi epithermal gold-silver prospect near Whangerei. The two new permits granted are adjacent and contiguous with the company’s existing permit EP51985. Managing director Peter Batten said the new permits will enable De Grey to encompass extensions of favourable geology shown in the Government-provided geophysical data. The new permits cover the extent of a number of geochemical anomalies off the Puhipuhi project. He said work that will be carried out on the licences include: - Complete multi-element stream sediment geochemistry over tenement area, including detailed follow up of anomalous samples as defined in Northland stream sediment dataset. - Complete multi-element soil sampling over areas of interest. - Geological mapping and rock chip sampling over areas of interest. - Complete a programme of ground-based electrical geophysics (IP and/or CSAMT). Batten said the company would also update geological model for area and define drill targets, and complete a GIS compilation of available data. The company’s undertaking is to complete a minimum of 1,000 metres of drilling in one or more holes to maintain the permits in good standing. from nzresources
