Deadlifts! You see them performed all the time in the gym - so why are they considered the King of all exercises? 1. You need good Mind-Muscle Connection - easier said than done to engage your glutes and hamstrings. When it comes down to it, a lot of us use solely the back, and this is where some get injured. 2. Its extremely technical - the Deadlift uses way more muscles than it seems, and as a lifter, you have to be aware of this, otherwise the entire kinetic chain is broken. Form needs to be completely nailed! 3. Increases overall strength - its a compound, multi-joint exercise. The ability to work so many muscles simultaneously, directly against gravity, is going to up your strength each time you do it. Gonna try deadlifting? Awesome - BUT form, form, form!
